The Egianus Kogoya group seized TNI-Polri weapons in Papua

The West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) claimed that almost all of their weapons came from TNI-Polri booty. The large number of security forces deployed by the Indonesian government is even considered a 'blessing'.

"For us, the police are too many, we say take 'selling'. So we will kill, take weapons," TPNPB spokesman Sebby Sambom told CNNIndonesia.com by telephone on Wednesday (5/12).

Answer Sebby answered the information from the government which stated that the perpetrators of the attacks on the Kali Yigi and Kali Aorak bridges, Yigi District, also had weapons with the standards of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) organization.

Sebby claimed that the weapons only came from their spoils of war with the TNI-Polri. Even if there were other weapons outside, he claimed that they only came from Dutch relics of old.

Sebby refused to reveal their weapons. But he said the number of their weapons was neither too much nor too little.

"We took all that from the TNI-Polri. We killed, took it, killed it, took it," he said.

According to Sebby, his group was principled with one weapon against a thousand weapons belonging to government officials.

"This means that we can kill 1,000 Indonesian soldiers," he said.

Infantry Commander Muhammad Aidi, Head of Information at Kodam XVII / Cendrawasih, said that the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) killed dozens of PT Istaka Karya workers in Nduga Regency, Papua possessing illegal weapons by military standards and even NATO standards.

Aidi also said that the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya had standard military weapons because it illegally seized the property of TNI-Polri members and supplies from abroad.

"From the intelligence report data that we have received, they have firearms. Standard military weapons. There are dozens, military standards, NATO standards," Aidi said in Jakarta, Tuesday (4/12).

Even so, Aidi claimed that he did not have detailed information about the strength of the weapons that belonged to the current Egianus group.
